COVID-19 Immunization Recommendations

We have been receiving many phone calls asking about recommendations regarding the COVID  vaccine for teens and breastfeeding mothers.

In accordance with the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics, we recommend that adolescents (age 16-17 years) who are included in the prioritized groups should receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Also, COVID-19 vaccines should be offered to lactating individuals the same as non-lactating individuals if they meet the criteria of a prioritized group. A lactating individual may continue nursing after receiving the vaccine.
