Effective immediately, all well child care visits should enter through the front of our office buildings, through the main entrance. If your child is coming for a sick visit, or is sick at the time of their well visit, please remain in your car and call the front desk upon arrival - (315) 487-1541 for Camillus, and (315) 652-1070 for Liverpool. When a room is available, we will check you in at the back entrance of our buildings. There are signs clearly marking where to enter the building in the back.
We have changed these rules because it is now the season for school and camp physicals and we need to utilize our larger main entrance and front desk for the larger volume of our well patients at this time. We continue to encourage you to make your children's well visit appointments and stay on schedule with their immunizations. We may not be able to accommodate the need for school physicals and immunizations in a timely manner if everyone waits until the summer to call for an appointment.
Remember, faces should be covered before entering the building, and, except for newborns, only one healthy adult should accompany a child/children for a well visit. We are working hard to maintain safety and social distancing in our buildings and appreciate your cooperation.
Pediatric Associates now has the ability to conduct some office visits via Telemedicine. We will provide this service through the current COVID-19 public health emergency, during usual office hours (9:00am-4:00pm for Telemedicine) on weekdays.
Our nurses and office staff will evaluate your request for a Telemedicine visit based on our ability to perform the necessary physical assessment that may be somewhat limited by the video platform. Our provider will remain in a private examining room or office throughout the visit. It will not be recorded.
We will conduct the visit via the Zoom video conferencing platform easily downloaded from the app store or other sources of apps, or accessed online at Zoom.us. You do not need to have an account with Zoom, you simply access the app or website, push the "join" button and enter the I.D. number provided by our office.* Please be patient waiting as we may not be immediately on time. Feel free to wait in the Zoom virtual waiting room or call the office if the wait time seems overly extended.
We will evaluate your child and recommend diagnostics and treatments based on our assessment. We will provide follow-up care in person if or when that becomes essential.

Great resource for children asking questions about Coronavirus. Good listening for parents too!
If your child is experiencing respiratory distress or rapidly worsening symptoms, please call 911 for immediate assistance.
Our office remains open during regular 9-5 business hours. Our answering service and night nurses are currently being inundated with after hours phone calls. Calls are triaged by acuity/urgency and there will be prolonged wait times for non-urgent phone calls.
Please do not call back multiple times as this does not decrease your wait time. Wait times may be an hour or longer but you will have your call returned.
We ask that prescription refill requests, non-urgent concerns, and questions about Coronavirus, be saved for during our business hours, in order to decrease the call volume overnight so we can better serve those with an urgent issue.
If you have a question about Coronavirus outside our business hours and feel it can not wait until the morning, please contact the NYS hotline at 888-364-3065 or see the resources available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
The Upstate hotline is also available at 315-464-3979 from 7am to 11pm.
We are updating our recommendations regularly, based on guidance from the CDC and Onondaga County Health Department.
Starting Thursday, March 19, 2020, we will have separate sick and well entrances in our Camillus and Liverpool offices.
We ask that well children come to the back door of our office to check in, and sick children come to the front of our office through the usual entrance. If your child is coming for a scheduled well visit, but is sick, please come through the sick entrance.
We request that only one healthy parent accompany their child into the office when possible, to minimize infectious exposures. After check in, we are making accommodations for families to wait in their cars as needed, and this process has been going very smoothly. We encourage you to continue regular care for your child and remain up to date on immunizations. We are doing everything possible to maintain social distancing in our office.
If your child is sick with fever, runny nose, or cough, they should have their mouth and nose covered prior to entering the office.
We recommend you bring your own covering to tie around your child's face- a clean bandana or t-shirt. We do have surgical masks, but supplies in our office and throughout the country are very limited. Keeping a covering over the mouth and nose of your child is essential to reduce the spread of germs through the air. We appreciate that everyone works together to do their best to prevent the spread of illness.
Social isolation is the number one thing we can all do to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Now that schools have been cancelled and children are home all day, it may be tempting to arrange for a play date or get together with healthy appearing friends. Please take social isolation seriously and refrain from gathering with others. Stay home.
We are in the process of working on a protocol for testing for Covid-19 in our office. For now, if you have questions about Covid-19 testing, please call the designated hotline through Upstate Hospital at 315-464-3979.
